In the month of July,2019 I went to Watamu with a group of friends. The journey started on a friday,we took the morning SGR to Mombasa. The journey was smooth and by 2pm we were in Mombasa. The plan was to stay in Mombasa for one night then two nights in Watamu. We were picked at the train station and headed straight to our friends house in Nyali.

Saturday morning we headed to the villa we had booked in Watamu. We were amazed, the villa was beautiful,it had a mexican theme. It was a really hot and as soon as we checked in we went swimming to cool off.We hired a chef who prepared a tasty meal, which we had and rested for the day.

Sunday mid morning we headed to the beach. Our aim was to explore,so we took a boat ride, and i remember previous weeks the tides had been high in Watamu and warnings had been issued. The boat guide assured us that all was fine so we got on the boat and off we went to the marine park. The boat ride was good however there were strong waves and personally i was scared and wanted to turn back,at some point it even drizzled while we out there. All in all we completed the boat trip well, and headed back to the shore.

After the boat trip, we had to try out sea food and were referred to Crab Shack restaurant in Watamu. This place had variety of seafood to sample.I sampled the crabs however i am not a fan.It was late and we headed back to the Villa, had dinner ,played games and retired for the night.

On Monday we headed back to Nairobi via the SGR. It was a lovely long weekend with friends.I would recommend this villa in Watamu,we had a good time there.Below are the photos and videos.
