This trip had been booked well in advance.I googled the place before hand and that was all the information i had.The trip was well organised and we left early friday morning to Laikipia,Kenya where it is located.I was not prepared for the terrain, the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere in the interior of Laikipia, the car we used was perfect for the terrain.

We arrived and were well received. We were then taken to our rooms, which took me aback because the room was self contained with a kitchen, dining area, living area and even a balcony....and the design was out of this world..so cool!!!!

Each room or should i call them 'house' had a butler who would attend to all your needs i.e breakfast. We settled in well and after dinner retired for the night. We had games planned for the next day(Saturday). We woke up early and it was raining cats and dogs...so we had to stay indoors and play games.Once the rains subsided we went out for a game drive then returned to the hotel to play archery and ride quad bikes.

In the evening after dinner,we celebrated the birthday of one of us and a bonfire was setup for us.It was a lovely evening and i learnt alot about the Sanctuary, how they give back to the community with the proceeds from the hotel. They have built schools and hospitals for community. The Sanctuary is a place to visit!!!!
